Dexterville, WI - Lake Dexter
Wisconsin State Ice Racing Championship
2010 Race Date - Feb 21 - Sunday - Race Results
Food/Concessions: Food concessions available on site. Lake Dexter is located in the center of Dexterville. There is a small gas station/C-store nearby and Pittsville is a few miles to the North on Hiway 80. The CWIRA sign-up trailer will have a limited supply of race products, numbers and plates available. For VP Race Fuel contact Jack Potter of Keytime Motorsports as he brings a limited supply each week - he will bring more if you request.
History: This is the 19th year of the event! the Robus Family and Team 19 have crowned decades of Ice Racing Champions on Lake Dexter - and have been a big part of the growth of this sport as well. Expect a heated warm-up/concession building on the ice, great food and many door prizes too.
Promoter: This event is promoted by Guy Robus and Team 19 Motorsports (715) 569-3701 or (715) 323-2954.
CWIRA Points Series: The CWIRA 2010 Points Championship has only two remaining events, Dexterville and the following week at Humbird so the competition is heating up big time. For some classes a good showing at this week can make or break the entire season. Follow the points totals on the results page.
Race Day Schedule: The CWIRA race day starts with sign-up opening at 8am and running until 10. We will sign you up at most any time of the day but there will be a penalty if it is after 10am. Practice usually runs from 9 until 10 with riders meeting at 10:30. The first race of the day gets underway shortly after the end of the riders meeting - usually 11am.
Directions: From Pittsville on Hiway 13 between Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids go South on 80 to Dexterville at Hiway 54. Dexterville is about midway between City Point (East of Black river Falls) and port Edwards on 54 where it crosses 80. For cell phone/On-Star/Garmin GPS downloads/directions click here, then follow the link in "the bubble" attached to the red location star.
CWIRA Membership: The CWIRA does allow 1-day membership for $10 so riders may compete without paying the full $30 yearly membership. This does count towards a full membership and we count all your points earned racing - even from the "1-day pass" events. Entry fee for all classes is $15 per class.
Cancellation/Updates: Last minute updates/cancellations or other high priority information is distributed via twitter/cwira. We recommend you follow via us via Twitter in the event information is announced "en route".
