2010 Race Date - Jan 2/3 - Saturday non-points, Sunday points - Race Results

This is the 2010 season opener for the Central Wisconsin Ice Racing Association.  The traditional non-points "warm-up" race Saturday will feature a full CWIRA schedule of classes and provides an excellent opportunity to shake out the rust before the points-paying series starts on Sunday.  Partridge Lake is located on the Wolf River at Fremont and as such provides easy access to food, fuel & lodging.  Fremont is also the location of the CWIRA Season Banquet - held at Ted's Grandview Inn not far downstream from the race site.

Access to the race site is via the Yogi Bear Campground.  Enter the main gate of the campground and proceed directly down the main campground road to the boat landing.  Food vending provided by a Badgerland Travelers ATV Club.  Race sign-up will be at the CWIRA Trailer.

NOTE:  As this will be the first race of the 2010 season expect a line of people renewing their CWIRA Membership.  You can avoid this by renewing by mail - click here for more information.  CWIRA Membership is required at all events and is $30 per year.  One-day memberships are available for $10 and they do count towards a season membership.  We do reserve the rider numbers used each season so check that information prior to raceday right here.

History:  2009 Results - Saturday  Sunday  The CWIRA has visited Fremont many times over the years and it has a reputation of being one of the better events of the season.  Typically good ice and large track area combine for great racing.  The calm shallow waters of Partridge Lake freeze early so the season usually gets off to a fast January start.

Race Day Schedule:  The CWIRA race day starts with sign-up opening at 8am and running until 10.  We will sign you up at most any time of the day but there will be a penalty if it is after 10am.  Practice usually runs from 9 until 10 with riders meeting at 10:30.  The first race of the day gets underway shortly after the end of the riders meeting - usually 11am.
