Triple Crown Race #2:  The original 2nd leg of the CWITRA Triple Crown was to be held at the Wausau 525 in conjunction with the TLR Cup Champ Sled event.  Unfortunately the time conflicts on that weekend forces a change in the program resulting in "Round 2" moving to this weekend.  For more information on the Triple Crown click here.

Mid-Season Championship History:  Several years ago faced with the prospect of raising entry fees to cover costs of the yearly CWIRA Series it was decided that one event each year would be sponsored and promoted by the Association.  This is the race that pays a large portion of the cost involved with the CWIRA Points Series and the yearly awards.  Track and other event workers are the members of the Association helping to bring Ice Racing to the success it has enjoyed over the years.  This race has become one of the most popular of the year for spectators, and as the CWIRA Mid-Season Championship - the most challenging for racers as well!  The on-site race responsibilities and track lay-out are handled by Ken Marcou of the CWIRA - also known as the "Quadfather" for his many years (and many Quad Racing Championships) of racing success.  If you are interested in helping at this event - volunteers are always needed - you can earn "worker points"!  Click here for more information.

Directions:  From the SW:  Go North from Black River Falls on Hiway 12/27 to County E - follow NE to Hatfield.  Turn North on K, then East on J to Russell Memorial Park.  From the NW:  Hiway 10 East of Osseo at I94 to Hiway 12/27 - go South to Hiway 95 at Merrillan, then East on 95.  Turn South on J and follow to Park.  Hiway 95 goes South from Neillsville and connects with Hiway 78 so from the South, East & Central areas take Hiway 13 to 78, then connect with 95 and follow to J.  From the North & NE take Hiway 10 to 95 then go South.
